General parts, choose ones that will fit your goals

• Momentary switches (SPST - Normally open switches)
• Wire - small gauge for circuit board and switch hook-ups
• Ribbon wire (I used an old computer IDE cable as I have a box of old cables)
• no solder breadboard or Solder breadboard

Tools

• Wire cutters - small
• X-ACTO knife. or utility knife
• soldering iron
